Jenny Groff was born in South Korea but grew up just outside of Washington DC. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016 with a degree in Public Policy and Foreign Affairs. She met her husband, Ben, while they were students at UVA and are the result of what God can do through Chi Alpha. Jenny loves seeing Jesus redeem lives and watching students experience the joy of following Him! She currently serves as the Northeast Chi Alpha Operations Manager.
Tiont Williams is the Director for Young Life Richmond, where he passionately leads and mentors young people. A native of North Carolina, Tiont grew up with a deep love for community and faith, which eventually led him to pursue a seminary degree at Wake Forest University. Known for his dynamic and relatable preaching, Tiont has become a beloved guest speaker at Monday Night Live.
Fall Retreat costs $119 which includes your food and lodging. However, if you are a first year OR this is your first semester in Chi Alpha, because of generous support from many faithful donors, Retreat only costs $69!
Bible, notebook, sleeping bag, pillow, towel, toiletries, money for gas, games, football/frisbee to share. There will be free time with lots of fun activities and study time if you need it!
We will also be selling our XA Swag during the sessions, so bring a card/cash if you would like to make any purchases.
There is going to be so much to do at Retreat! We will be having great times of worship and get to hear messages from our incredible guest speakers. We will also have plenty of free time for a bonfire, sand volleyball, nature hikes, basketball, board games, gaga ball, field games, and much more!
